Coach Cameron Ciraldo has revealed star fullback Connor Tracey is “a very high chance” of returning from an abdominal injury. “He’s looking pretty good so far, he’s just got to get through captain’s run today, but he’s done really well with his rehab… it’d be good to have him back. A very high chance he’ll play,” Ciraldo said on Thursday. Tracey suffered the injury in Round 21 and was sent to hospital before being ruled out indefinitely. The 29-year-old’s return will be a major boost for the Bulldogs, who are still missing Marcelo Montoya (neck) from their backline. It was initially feared he could miss the rest of the season before those fears were put at ease when it was reported he’d miss three weeks. Tracey’s return, which would be a week early, will push Jacob Kiraz back to the wing and either Enari Tuala or Jethro Rinkama will drop out.
